Seasons are important, necessary, and inevitable.
They hearken the unavoidable process of change (God, how I hate that word sometimes), and yet, they are part of life- birth, growth, wisdom, and new beginnings.
I recently visited my home place to honor these very changes, no matter the memories I rage to hold on to, the finality of goodbyes, or the peace of acceptance.
It is at times like these that I try to remember to look up- always look up, and see the burning colors of autumn… because the sweet still of winter swells life back into all living beings-
