Big Girls are Sugar & Spice & Everything Nice

A week before Christmas, our son, Chase, called to remind me to get a sugar glazed ham for Christmas dinner.
And book our annual swamp airboat ride for the day after.
Check (Wind in your hair. Alligators at your feet).
And tell Dad to ready-up the shotguns for skeet shooting.
     Boom Check Boom
Our daughter, Bryn, called to remind me to make sure Pa’s outdoor Stocking and Candle decorations were hung.
And book a mani-pedi at Serenity Spa.
Check (Lavender essence water. Vietnamese carols).
And tell Dad she could fit him in for ‘Presents For Mom’ holiday shopping, after she saw her friends, but before, she saw them again.
     Squeal Check Squeal
Of course, the first thing they both did, when they came threw the front door, was bee-line it to the kitchen and go for the cookies.

“Oh Mom, we thought you’d forget!”…

I forget Nothing.

  • Cheryl - Hi
I can relate with the need for Christmas cookies. Each year Kati and her girlfriends descend upon our house for Mrs Ds famous cut out cookies with to ” to die for” frosting!

This year they thought they should add the fun of Ugly sweaters! Where do you suppose they found those???? Hmmmm. Maybe I should clean my closet of those 80’s or 90’s items!!!!!ReplyCancel
