Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday.
Mardi Gras.
The last day to party ’till you drop because tomorrow is the first day of Lent and you’re suppose to fast  for the next 40 days (until Easter- right), at which time you may celebrate the Resurrection of Christ with a visit to church, several Hail Mary’s, and a side of pig…

Don’t forget the wine
(There’s some at the alter, I think).

Street view from atop a viewing stand on
St. Charles Ave.

Families all lined up to watch the show.
There’s so much more to New Orleans than Bourbon Street!

Impromptu dancing is a must!

These Carnival ladders are as common as beads!

Even Metropolitan Transportation
gets into the act.
“It’s Carnival Time!”
